Transcripts including fall 2023 grades and degrees:
Students requiring the inclusion of fall 2023 grades or awarded degrees on their transcripts should verify that the information is posted in Athena before placing an order.
Fall 2023 grades will be available the morning of December 19.
Fall 2023 degrees will be awarded no later than January 10.
Parchment, UGA’s transcript and replacement diploma ordering system, has a new look and feel as part of an upgrade to a new platform that will streamline account management and the ordering process.
Due to the upgrade, current and former students must create a new account with Parchment in order to request a transcript or replacement diploma.

Requests for electronic, printed/mailed, or in-network transcripts as well as replacement diplomas can be made online through the Registrar's Office website. The Registrar's Office does not accept fax requests for transcripts.
Institutions or organizations requesting a transcript on behalf of a UGA student should follow instructions for a Third Party Request found below.

Current and former UGA students can order official transcripts online. Official transcripts are $8.00 each. Transcripts will not be issued for students who have an outstanding balance or unfulfilled obligation to the University. Five business days is the processing time per request. Please allow 10 business days for delivery via USPS.
Unofficial transcripts are available to current, active UGA students via the Athena student portal. Unofficial transcripts can be viewed by former students by reactivating their student account at UGA. To reactivate a student account, please contact the EITS Help Desk at 706-542-3106.
Current Students
- Log in to the portal http://my.uga.edu.
- Select Order Transcripts, located under Instant Access.
- Complete and submit the online request along with credit or debit card information for payment.
- The transcript will be processed within five business days.
Former Students
- Order Transcripts
University of Georgia has partnered with Parchment to order and send your transcript and other credentials securely. This link will open a new tab. - Please try a supported browser such as Mozilla Firefox (latest version) or Microsoft Internet Explorer if experiencing difficulty accessing the ordering site.
- Select log in or create a new account.
- New users will be asked to create an account (returning users will be able to login to their online account). Once the account is created, the user will be able to request transcripts online and track the status of orders.
- An option of is available for users who have forgotten their passwords.
- Requests will be processed within five business days.
Third Party Requests
Individuals or institutions that wish to request a transcript on behalf of a current or former UGA student should complete the Third Party Transcript Request Form. A Permission to Release Educational Information Form or its equivalent signed by the current or former UGA student must be included with the mailed request.
Please make money orders or corporate checks payable to the University of Georgia. Cash or personal checks are not accepted for payment. Money orders older than six months will be returned to sender and the request will not be processed.

Mail Requests
Individuals who are unable to place a transcript request online may submit a transcript request and payment via mail. Please note that requests received by mail will have an increased processing time.
Current or former UGA students should complete the UGA Student Transcript Request Form.

Fax Requests
The Office of the Registrar does not accept faxed requests for transcripts, nor does the Office of the Registrar send any transcripts via fax.
Expedited Shipping
The Office of the Registrar offers the option to have a transcript expedited through FedEx. An expedited request may be made online (see above). The standard $8.00 fee per copy still applies for the request and must be paid prior to processing.
Additional Surcharge:
- $15.00 will be charged for FedEx deliveries to a U.S. address.
- $50.00 will be charged for FedEx deliveries to an international address.
Requests that Require Enclosures
If a form is required to be sent along with a transcript, users will be able to upload the form online. Enclosures included with electronic transcript requests will be sent along with the transcript to the recipient.
Upon receipt of the request, the form will be printed and attached to the hard copy transcript prior to mailing. Please ensure the recipient of any attachments will accept a copied version of any attached document.
If an original, non-copy, enclosure is required, please see the instructions listed above for mailing a transcript request. Include the original enclosure document with the transcript request form in the same envelope.
Status of Transcript Request
Once a transcript request has been processed, an automated email confirming the order will be sent. All requests are processed within five business days. Please allow 6 - 13 business days for receipt of the transcript.
The Office of the Registrar is not responsible for incorrect mailing or email addresses provided in the original transcript request. If an incorrect address is provided and the transcript has been processed, an additional order will need to be submitted. The Office of the Registrar is not responsible for failure of the USPS or any other third party courier to deliver a transcript to its destination.
Notarized Transcripts
Notarized transcripts are required for persons seeking an Apostille or Great Seal for their academic records. To determine if you require a notarized transcript and to download the request for notarization, please review information about the Apostille and the Great Seal here.
Transcripts from Other Institutions
The Office of the Registrar does not provide copies of transcripts from other institutions. For questions regarding UGA’s receipt of transcripts from other institutions, please contact the Undergraduate Admissions Office at 706-542-8776 or the Graduate School Admissions Office at 706-542-1739.
