Transcripts that include summer 2018 grades:
Students requiring the inclusion of summer 2018 grades on their transcript should verify the grades are correct in Athena before placing an order. Summer 2018 grades for all sessions including May Session, Short Session I and II, Thru Term, and Extended Session will be available the morning of August 7, 2018.
Transcripts that include degrees awarded summer 2018:
Students requiring transcripts with their awarded summer 2018 degree should verify that their degree posted in Athena before placing an order. Summer 2018 degrees will be awarded no later than August 30, 2018.
Current and former UGA students can order official transcripts online. Five business days is the processing time per request. Please allow 6-13 business days for delivery via USPS.
- Log in to the portal http://my.uga.edu.
- Click on Order Transcripts (under Instant Access).
- Complete and submit the online request along with credit or debit card information for payment.
- The transcript will be mailed within five business days.
- Log in to online ordering site.
- Click on log in or create a new account.
- If you are a new user, you will be asked to create an account. Once your account is created, you will be able to request transcripts online and track the status of your orders.
- If you are a returning user, please login to your online account.
- If you have forgotten your password, you will be prompted to enter your email address to receive a message containing a new password.
- Your request will be processed within five business days.
You may visit our office in the Holmes/Hunter Academic Building and request a transcript in person. To do so, you can visit our office and complete the transcript request form (PDF). Only money orders will be accepted as payment for in-person requests. Requests will be processed within 5 business days. The Registrar's Office cannot process same-day requests.

Please make money orders payable to UGA. The Office of the Registrar does not accept cash or check for payment. Money orders older than six months will be returned to sender and the transcript request will not be processed.
The Registrar's Office must receive payment prior to processing any transcript request. For mailed-in requests, please fill out the transcript request form (PDF). Print the form, sign it, and mail the completed form with the $8.00 transcript fee. This form requires Adobe Reader.
The Registrar's Office cannot accept mailed transcript requests that include attachments (i.e., AMCAS, LSAC forms). Any requests that include attachments must be submitted online.
The Office of the Registrar does not accept faxed requests for transcripts, nor does the Office of the Registrar send any transcripts via fax.
Transcripts will not be issued for students who have an outstanding balance or unfulfilled obligation to the University.
The Office of the Registrar offers the option to have a transcript expedited through FedEx. An expedited request may be made online (see above). The standard $8.00 fee per copy still applies for the request and must be paid prior to processing.
- $25.00 will be charged for FedEx deliveries to a U.S. address.
- $40.00 will be charged for FedEx deliveries to an international address.
Requests that Require Enclosures
If you have a form that must be included with your transcript, you will be able to upload the form electronically online. Upon receipt of your request, the document will be printed and attached to the hard-copy transcript prior to mailing. Please ensure the recipient of any attachments will accept a copied version of any attached document.
If an original, non-copy, enclosure is required, please see the instructions listed above for mailing a transcript request. Include your original enclosure document with the transcript request form in the same envelope.
Status of Transcript Request
Once your transcript request has been processed, you will receive an automated email confirming your order. All requests are processed within five business days. Please allow 6 - 13 business days for receipt of the transcript.
The Office of the Registrar is not responsible for incorrect mailing or email addresses provided in the original transcript request. If an incorrect address is provided and your transcript has been processed, an additional order will need to be submitted. The Office of the Registrar is not responsible for failure of the USPS or any other third party courier to deliver your transcript to its destination.
Notarized transcripts can take an additional 15 days to process and require the submission of a written request. To determine if you require a notarized transcript and to place such an order, please review information about the Apostille and the Great Seal here.
Official transcripts are $8.00 per copy.
Transcripts from Other Institutions
The Office of the Registrar does not provide copies of transcripts from other institutions.
