Information Changes

Address Change

Current students can update their address information in Athena.  Former students can update their address information by completing the Change of Address form and mailing, emailing, or faxing the completed form to the Office of the Registrar, or by sending a letter to the office indicating the change of address information. Letters should include the student's full name, date of birth, and indicate whether the new address replaces the Current, Permanent, or Emergency Contact information.  Please note this will not update a student's diploma mailing address if the student has already applied to graduate. Please see below for more information.

Name Change

Students needing to make changes to their name as listed on their academic record should complete the Name Change Form and present the appropriate documentation to the Office of the Registrar.  Please note this will not update the name on a student's diploma if the student has already applied to graduate. See below for more information.

Diploma Address and Name Change

Students may update their diploma mailing address after applying to graduate. Students should confirm that they have a current, active graduation application in Athena and email reghelp@uga.edu with their name, UGA 81X number, degree, and term of their graduation application.
