Institutional Competencies (IC) help students articulate the skills they learn through their UGA courses and activities. Courses and activities approved for Institutional Competencies will be included in the Comprehensive Learner Record (CLR), which is designed to help students deepen their understanding of their educational experiences and motivate them to acquire these life-long skills while working toward their degree.

The CLR is designed to highlight students’ validated competencies and achievements that they have acquired through their UGA coursework and activities. Courses and activities that are approved for Institutional Competencies will be displayed in the CLR. For the CLR to be as robust as possible for our students, we encourage as many courses and activities as possible to be submitted through these new processes.
